Enjoy eleven wonderful days discovering the Costa Rica Hidden Treasures.
Let’s explore the famous Tortuguero’s Canals, where you will live an unique adventure. Then, inmerse yourself in the warm hot spring on the slopes of the Arenal Volcano.
But our adventure does not end here, we continue with our journey at the spectaculae Monteverde Cloud Forest, walking through it’s hanging bridges among nature and wildlife. We will end our trip in the world famous Manuel Antonio National Park, with it’s unique beaches and fauna.

Day 1: Arrival, San José
Today you will arrive at the Juan Santamaria International Airport, At San Jose, upon arrival our representative will be waiting for you with a sign and your name on it. Then you will drive to your hotel where you will spend the first night.
Day 2: Pacuare Reserve
Breakfast on the way today, then start driving toward the Caribbean side, on the way you will have the chance to see some birds, until you get to Bataan town where you will continue to Goching where you will get a boat to take you to the Pacuare Private Reserve, Pacuare Reserve will be you accommodation for the next three days, Since 2004, Pacuare Reserve has been saving data about the nesting population and the reproduction of a colony of the Agami Heron (Agamia agami). This is the only nesting place known in the Costa Rican Caribbean.
Agami Heron is consider the most beautiful of the herons mainly because of the color they present during the reproductive time season.
Day 3: Pacuare Reserve
Today 5:00am early birding looks for the Agami Heron (Agamia agami) and others birds, after birding breakfast at the lodge then our guide take you again for birding. The Reserve offers many more species of birds.
Day 4: Pacuare Reserve
Today is another day of birding, walk around the Pacuare Reserve property, wish is a good place for birding, looks for Semiplumbeous Hawk, (Leucopternis semiplumbeous), Purple-throated Fruitcrow (Querula purpurata) and more, back to the lodge and have lunch, relax for a wile then back to the field. Recommend it to get baggage ready for the next morning.
Day 5: Pacuare – Sarapiquí
Today breakfast early in the morning, departure to the Sarapiqui area, where you will stay for the next two nights, at El Bambu Hotel, birding around the Hotel.
Day 6: Sarapiquí
Get ready for the action, today you will be birding at La Selva Biological Station, in the morning, look for the Middle American Screech-Owl, Spectacled Owl and more, after La Selva lok for a place to have lunch then we will go to the Piarella Garden’s to look for the Rufous-tailed Jacamar and more, back to the hotel.
Day 7: Sarapiquí – Boca Tapada Area
Breakfast then gets ready to drive to the beautiful area of Boca Tapada, northern of Costa Rica province of Alajuela, home of the magnificent King Vulture, Toucans, Woodpeckers and more, check in at the hotel relax then Birding on the gardens of the hotel.
Day 8: Boca Tapada
Today we will have breakfast and then we will go to the looks for the King Vulture, around 12:00N back to the hotel to have lunch then again go birding. End of the day back to the hotel.
Day 9: Boca Tapada
Today we will have our breakfast at the hotel, then we will go for full day birding day, around the area of Boca Tapada, look for the beautiful Red-caped Mankin (Ceratopipra mentalis), then looks for a place to have lunch, continue birding, end of the day back to the hotel.
Day 10: Boca Tapada – Arenal Area
Morning breakfast the get ready to travel to the area of the Arenal Volcano, check in at the hotel, relax the birding in the hotel gardens area, end of the day dinner time.
Day 11:Arenal Area
At 5:00am early birding morning, looks for some Euphonias, Honey Creepers, Antbirds and more this will be at day to spend at the hotel property.
Day 12: Arenal Area
Breakfast then birding at the Arena Volcano National Park Area, go to La Fotuna for lunch, the birding again, end of the day back to the hotel.
Day 13: Arenal Area – Monteverde
Breakfast, get ready to travel to the area of the Monteverde Cloud Forest, on the way looks for a place to have lunch also birding on the road, check in at the hotel, afternoon free.
Day 14: Monteverde
Early breakfast, get ready to drive down to the Ecological Farm of Saint Louis, search for the Ornate Hawk-Eagle Full day birding, lunch near the farm, end of the day back to the hotel.
Day 15: Monteverde
Breakfast, get ready to go back to San Jose where you will spend one night before the departure day.
Day 16: Departure Day
Departure day, transfer to the airport
